Looks like the LS3 in Corvette will be rated at 430hp though.

430 hp is a nice starting number. I can see GM using the same engine and just fudging the hp numbers lower for the Camaro.

So the question is will the new camaro have the same spec's? And will it be offered as the standard V8 model (like a z28) or a high performance verison (SS)?

Well from what I have heard so far is that the New Camaro will have 2 V6s and 3 V8s to choose from. My guess is it will more likely be 1 v6 and 2 v8s. A 3.9L v6 and the new 6.2L LS3 and then something unknown at this time for the SS, possibly something with lower cubes and a supercharger. Thats my guess. And as far a fuel economy goes I think the v6 will get the same highway mileage as the Z28 v8 (LS3).
