It's only like 8 horsepower, but it seems like a helluva lot more for some reason.
it's certainly better than 8 less HP.

the more the merrier.

Hmm, in the other thread I mentioned that was the crate motor rating.... but that's because it was the crate motor listed on the GMPP website.

This looks like Camaro specs to me.
Let's see if Chevy updates any other documentation before jumping to any conclusions. :)

HP...

The LS3 rating of 430HP is the same as the LS3 that currently is in the Corvette. The rating may change in the Camaro depending on the routing and style of exhaust that is used. With the Corvette with the optional exhaust you can get up to 436HP.

Corvette guys will be butthurt and just not understand how in the world this is possible.

As if the 422hp rating wasn't the same as 430...

Might as well make it 500hp.
I think most GM performance enthusiats knew and accepted that eventhough the LS1 in C5 vettes were rated at 350 hp, and LS1 f-bodies were rated at 310 hp, it was the same LS1 engine, just underated in f-bodies. Many dynos proved this.

I would suspect they are using vette numbers, but whether its 422 or 430, its still the same LS3. But yes 430 does sound better. :)

Just browse Corvette Forum and see how many people are so clueless as to the ratings between the Corvette and Camaro (all generations).
