MARCH MEMBER/CAMARO OF THE MONTH

CJP

Congratulations CJP! You are the March Member/Car of the Month here at ModernCamaro.com

I’d like to thank everyone who recommend me for Member of the month. It means a lot to me.

We all want to know a little more about you and your Camaro so I have a few questions for you...
Will you share with us what began your love for cars and/or the Camaro specifically?

It really all goes back to my Father. He would take me to World of Outlaw races and NHRA Drag Racing events. We had a 1967 Camaro SS with us my whole life but it wasn’t until latter in life we restored together. Cars have been in my life since I was born and a play huge part today. I’ve had the pleasure of writing features, photographing, and making videos for Super Chevy Magazine, as well as shooting some of the coolest exotic cars in the World. I’m also surrounded by cool cars everyday working for Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, and Infiniti. But my favorite cars are classic muscle. All I want in a car is power and a good stereo.

Please share with us the story behind your 5th Gen Camaro?

It was purchased before I was even born by my Father. It was in decent shape but needed work. Over the years though the car kept getting pushed to the side because raising a family was my parent’s top priority, naturally. Then my and my Father started work on it when I was around nineteen or twenty. We did bit by bit over the years. During that time I joined the U.S. Army and did two year-long tour to Iraq. During that time my Father worked on it but when that second deployment came around he finished up the car as a gift to me. The Camaro means a lot to me because it was built, not bought, by myself and my Father.

How did you discover ModernCamaro.com and what has kept you here?

I happen to come across the site and became friends with Tim Deyoung and I made a film Return of The Camaro which he agreed to put on the site back when it was called 5thGen.org. What has kept me here is the love of the Camaro and the forum members who share that same passion with me.

And finally, do you have anything you'd like to add to the ModernCamaro.com members or anyone else reading this interview?

Beautiful 67! I love the classic cars, and to me the 5th gen seem to have that classic look of the 60's. Congrats!
