500 miles on the odometer



old engine coming out:







swap stock converter for a Yank ss3200:





parts all transfered to the new engine:



new engine back in:




not too bad, just under 8 hours with a meal break, now comes the fun trying to get it all tuned,, but it does run, i drove it 30 miles from the shop to home

WOW!! That would be nice. Waiting for some performance stats. Why would anyone pull a brand new engine out and replace it?? Whats in the new engine?? Guess the warranty is gone. I'm afraid to change the exhaust on mine for fear they will cancel the Warranty.

It will be nice to see the results when you have it tuned.
ya, this will be some work,, a m6 car would be easy compared to having to tune the engine and the trans

35k for car plus another 10k+ for new motor and tuning to come why? :confused:

because anyone can go buy a new camaro, but i dont think it is really your car till you make it your own, as someone else posted already, this is what hot rodding is all about, plus when you do the labor yourself you save lots of $$, and employee pricing on the car, your about $5000 high on your est.

true new age hot rodding. when people ask me why i built my 66, i answer......because it sounds like war! besides everything can use a bigger cam. great job.
