Hey everyone, I registered on the board a few weeks back but haven't posted much. I'm from northern NJ and I have been interested in f-bodies since the days of watching Knight Rider as a kid. When i was just 17, i got my second car(1st was a coronet...i like dukes of hazzard too) The 2nd car was a 1988 Trans am GTA black on black, digital dash ttops and all. I loved that car, until after a few years it kept needing to many things and i sold it off. Well since then, i have bought and owned many other f bodies ranging from 1979 to 2001. probably around 35 to be exact. Most of the met their fate however at my hands and were parted out in order to supply enthusiasts with much needed oem replacement parts for their cars. And trust me, if a car was decent whole, i drove it and then resold it. Currently i have some fbodies and other projects in the works. My baby is a 2001 Camaro SS #1709. I bought it brand new in Aug 2001 with every little option i wanted. Then 4 years later, someone got diesel into my gas and in turn blew my motor, snapped rod and all. well, its fixed now, with some upgrades. ill get into all that later. My others cars include a 1985 Iroc-z ttop 5spd my friends gave me when he left to join the army. The body is rotten bad, so i have an '89 chassis i will be using as a donor to rebuild it. I also have a '79 corvette project with a 96 LT1 in it(6,609 miles on motor). Then theres my 96 dodge ram with a cummins turbo diesel, 99 grand prix GT, 2003 kawasaki ninja zx636r, and my daily driver, a 1999 GMC yukon Denali. (plans for the denali include being bagged, with a twin turbo LSx motor/6 speed)

I plan on getting the new camaro as soon as they are available. I just need to find a dealer willing to work with me since i will be out of the country when the release date comes.

I usually posted mainly on NJFBOA.org under this same name, heck just about any site car related with this name, its me. lol.

yes, on August 11th 2005, i got 20 bucks worth of "fuel" at a shell gas station in Hawthorne NJ. Car was smoking more than usual on the way home, but i figured cuz i was beating on it more that day and recently removed the cats. I got home fine, and parked it in my garage. The next night i began a shorty header install and upgrading all my rear suspension. That saturday i finished up and fired it up, i got about a mile and it ran like complete garbage. check engine light was on, i assumed something with the header install. I was actually blowing raw fuel out my tailpipes. i spent 10 days checking everything. I swapped coil packs, plugs, wires all cuz of no spark. then #3 primary was wet when i looked inside the header. i swapped out that injector cuz it was stuck open and pourng straight fuel. Before that, i had drained the tank and blew the lines out and even wiped down the inside of the tank even till it was bone dry. i checked out what came out of my tank and it was at least 2/3 diesel, 1/3 super. I contacted the nj dept of weights and measures, the local police to file a report etc. nothing could be proven cuz the stations tanks were drained and refilled the day after i got fuel. they knew what had happened....well, after swapping the one injector i thought i was good to go. i tried it again... little did i know #1 injector was also stuck open due to the diesel mix. well it filled #1 cylinder just enough, when it cranked over, it hydrolocked, snapped the rod, shattering the oil pan, blowing out the side of the block, and even blowing out the mount for the steering rack on the frame. the crankcase must have also been filled with fumes which ignited as well. it was pretty nasty. after several months, my extended warrany company came though and cut me a check for a new engine. Then in feb 2007, i fired up the new motor for the first time, it was great, took about a month to finsih most things up... got it on the road, lost the first balancer at highway speed, replaced it, lost that one at the track at 100mph, replaced that and the water pump it destroyed, and so far has been running nice since. I have hp tuners for it, but no time to learn to program so its still on a stock tune, lol. cam is 239/242 .603/.609 and engine has almost all common boltons, so with a real tune, it should be sick. right now i run [email protected], with a 2.3 60'(stock rear, bald tires) trap speed shows what its capable of with good traction, then add a tune, and ill be real happy.
