Well after a deal n a Fiero went sour I decided to take the money that I had gotten to get the Fiero and now am spending it on my Z28. Aside from my other mods (All Free mods, lid, True duals, LCA's, SFC's, Poly bushing's all around) I am getting a strange 9 inch rear with a 3.70 gear, UMI adj PHR, UMI adj Torque arm, STB, LT headers, MS4 Cam with dual springs and hardened pushrods (TSP cam kit), 36-3800 yank lock up stall (haven't decided yet will let Yank put me in the right one), beefing up the trans, A good dyno tune from my local LS tuner, DR's, and going ahead and putting the 150 shot on it.

I don't know what to quite expect from this set up I conservatively estimated close to 500 RWHP on spray, and hoping for at least low 11's. I have seen/heard/read higher HP numbers and 10's like this but I'm not going to count on it. Aiming for 11's anything over that is gravy. Comming from a horrible wheelspinning 13.2 (2.10 60 ft) to 11's will feel like a rocket ship in comparison.

Oh and as of next monday it will no longer be my DD :).

Holy Crow looks like I'm going to go over what I planned on spending  . But the list also grew a little in the process :D . Picked up a Wieand intake, LS2 timing kit, ported LS6 oil pump, and a 160 Tstat. But I downgraded the cam from a MS4 to MS3 to avoid the close valve clearance and the possibility of having to pull motor apart to flycut pistons. Got to order the rear end and center section tomorrow and will get stall and trans parts probably wednesday. Yea I'll be about 1k or more over what I planned on spending but hey I waited 6 long years to pay it off it without major mods it had to be worth it  .

The first of many boxes arrived yesterday. MSD wires, TR55's Ported LS6 oil pump, LS2 chain set, dual springs with retainers etc, hardend pushrods, and the gaskets. Now I have to look into new injectors, ARP rod bolts and a new fuel pump. Boy this project is spiraling. What started as a 4700$ budget ot blasted to almost 7k now:BangHead: . If this thing don't pull the wheels after all this I'm gunna shoot it.

Well so far I have the LS6 intake, tr55's, MSD superconductors, Headers (running open untill its all put together), And adj PHR installed. Holy crow what a difference. 3000+ rpm's have never been this fun. Will pull the trans tomorrow and start on it and probably the rear end and T.Arm as well. So for so good only a few minor hitches. Can't wait till its all bolted up. Going in steps like this is fun I see the changes gradually. Next I'll see what its like with a 3500 stall, built trans and 2.70- 3.70 gear change. Should be fun. Then it'll be time for cam and valvetrain, Fuel pump, injectors and Tune!! The gas of course will the the last to go on :roxor: .

#$%^&*# 4L60E!! They aren't made for high hp applications and the **** input drum on mine was cracked with just the scant boltons that I had. The upgraded drum with input shaft was another 375 unexpected dollars. Oh well Finally everything is ordered. Stall (Vigilante 3600) should be in tomorrow, racetronix 270 fuel fump should be in sometime today, Art Carr drum and input shaft kit will be in wednesday, Centersection with Detroit locker and 4.11's should be in thursday, going to cuss out UMI about my torque arm not here yet, 42# siemens injectors are here, and all the rest is on standby as soon as the trans goes in. This is going to be the busiest week yet! With all this **** money invested if this thing dont at least go 10.9 I'm going to shoot it.
