Hello to all,
I just signed up to 5th Gen & wanted to say hello. I read the disappointing news that you do not believe there is going to be a 5th Gen Trans Am. I think eventually there is going to be & I am posting a picture of what the 5th Gen Trans Am SHOULD look like. When it comes out let it be known I was the first to say it would. If it does not I would love to get my hands on the 5th Gen Camaro. I am the current owner of 86 Trans AM & 87 GTA previously owned 5 other 3rd gens. Let me know what you think of the 5th gen Trans AM, maybe we can talk them into producing it b/c the GTO does not compare to the 5th Gen Trans AM. Have a goodnight. Happy Holidays. Shenna

Welcome:hello:

I don't feel there will be a production TA, but I do think there might be a market for an aftermarket kit to transform the Camaro into a TA somewhat like the pic you posted.

It doesn't look like it would really take much. Maybe a hood, front fascia, headlights, parking lights, fenders, wheels, rear tail light section, emblems, and a spoiler. Also maybe a couple interior parts.

Welcome! That Pic is sweet looking. I remember first seeing it (black one of course) and thinking **** thats hot. I'm with Brandon on this one though. Hopefully the same guys that made the Chevelle can do the same with this but make it affordable. It would be sweet seeing them around. But the fact that T/A is trademarked already makes it kind of hard to bring it back. Much as would trying to name a new car NASCAR or Indy, same concept.

The Phoenix will HOPEFULLY rise

The Trans AM is going to hopefully rise. My beliefs below:

Out of my ashes I will rise a new Phoenix
A soaring Legend returning from death
proving once again that life is eternal
I will live forever because the spirit never DIES.
I will return in another body in another time
but it is me
The me who is here now & the me that is going to be coming
I will live forever

being the former owner of a ws6 and a 89 firebird,
ws6 wreckd, and 89 sold
i am a fan of the t/a fo sho' but i dont see it happening ever again,
in 20 yrs. the ls1 firehawks are going to be the car to have,
but i would imagine the even more rare lt1 firehawks will be money bringers,
and to think me and a buddy transformed his lt1 firehawk into a ls1 ws6:BangHead:

Yeah, I love the T/A mockups, too. I wonder if they could get away with just calling it a T/A, and not Trans Am? Are the initials trademarked?

Oh, and welcome!

THANK YOU for the reply. I LOVE that car!!!!!You know I HAD to save it. That is one SWEET car. I know there is alot of doubters out there but I am still holding out. I am praying they make it. I guess time will tell. Once they bring back the Challenger in 2008/2009 & then the Camaro, Pontiac will have no choice but to hopefully bring the T/A back into production. I don't care what they call it Trans Am, T/A, Phoenix whatever they call it if it comes out I WANT ONE!!!! I also heard they are thinking of bringing back the Barracuda too. I had some concept pictures of it, but they got deleted.
I am the current owner of 87 GTA w/ T5 from my understanding it is one of 706 made & also an 86 Trans Am. Previously owned 7 other 3Rd Gen Firebirds/Formulas. I love the whole 3rd gen f-bodies but I will be getting that 5th Gen T/A if it ever comes out. That will be the first car I ever buy NEW so I can be the first to molest it.LOL!!!!I will be on this site & when the 5th Gen comes out I hope I can refer to all those doubters today. Have a great Turkey Day. Gobble Gobble. Shenna

I'm holding out, too. As some people on here probably already know(from me talking about it all the time)..my father had a 1969 Firebird with the 400 CI V8 and a 3spd Ford manual(from the factory). After all the things he told me about that car..I want a Firebird more than any other car out there. :(

The Trans Am or any other muscle car you get is an addiction. I worked my way up to get what I wanted. Started:
85 2.8MPFI Firebird, 87 2.8 MPFI Firebird, 88 Jasper 2.8 Formula Clone, 89 Formula 305TBI, 87 Firebird 305HO now I have:

86 Trans Am - 350 Crate 700 R4 w/ 650 Holley 4 Barrel
87 GTA - 305 TPI w/ T5

I am going to keep these 2 as they are everything we have been wanting. I also got a few other:
93 Custom Toyota 4Runner SR5, 91 Eagle Talon ESI
94 Custom Honda Accord LX

If the 2010 comes out I think it will be the first NEW car I buy. I been getting alot more people holding out on some other forums. Maybe we can push Pontiac to produce it. Too bad I was not rich I would but into it. LOL. In My dreams.

Target is Mustang. Therefore, Chevy!

Pontiac, I don't believe, could get the volume.

Don't count Pontiac out, tho -- while you may not see a Firebird anytime soon, I think you'll see something else. (and that's all I'll say about that!)
