CHICAGO - While Chevrolet and Pontiac will offer rear-drive cars, the Buick dealer council basically said, "Thanks - but no, thanks."

But GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz has left the door open if the group wants to reconsider.

Lutz said U.S. dealers were offered a Buick based on the long-wheelbase Holden Statesman that will be sold in China next year.

Buick is just looking to be the next brand on the chopping block with that attitude - so much for being a team player.

I think it should be chopped! The less cannibalisim betweem GM brands the healthier the entire company becomes.

It's kinda good in a way, cuz they're saying the RWD sedan would sell.

But I agree too, the Lucerne is an outstanding car!

I like the Lucerne and the Lacross. A lady who works in my office just got a Lacross. Silver with black leather. Its a good looking car. From what our friends say that work at a local Buick/GMC/Pontiac dealer they never see Lacrosses in for warranty work.
