Seen one of the real Bumblebee cars at Hollywod Star Cars in Gatlinburg, TN. Took about 80 or so detailed pictures of dents, fake rust, stripes, scrapes, hood cowl bolts, etc. I'm coming along slowly with my clone right now. Rebuilding and upgrading all of the suspension stuff right now so that it will handle better than a WS6 Trans Am. Once i'm done with my car, I'm thinking of doing a write up of the parts and details I have researched so far. But in the meantime, I thought I'd share a link for the rest of the clone builders to go by if they wanted. Hope this helps!

This is a neat project actually. Not many people want to clone the 2nd gen version of Bumblebee. This will definitely be neat to see when you are done with it.

I saw a guy who had a 2nd gen red car. I pointed out my 5th gen and said if they did Cliffjumper in the first movie like they did bumblebee yours would be a great counterpart.

I miss gatlinburg perhaps we should go back and check out the car museum there.
My inlaws have a cabin in Sevierville.

Hello from Alabama and welcome to :5go: cool pictures thanks for sharing:thumbsup:
Your welcome, and thanks a lot for the warm welcome!

That poor car. :/
Oh man I know... You can look at the car in person, and see where they just literally took a ball peen hammer to some spots. It DEFINETELY has character!

Thanks Nick, and I'm surely looking forward to making some actual VISUAL progress on the car. I've been collecting up parts along the way, and it's getting about time to put stuff together. I halfway drive my car everyday, so I've really been off this project for a bit and have been working on my right hand drive Supra turbo to dive me something to drive as a backup while the Camaro is down having all of this work done. I can't wait to start a build thread, and I hope to run across some others maybe doing the same on here! thanks again guys for the replies!

I know the owner of that car and there are pics of it from about 2 or 3 years ago on here; right after the first movie.

They really beat the sh!t out of that car to get it to look that way.

Thanks for the additional pics!

I tried searching around in here and always kept running into the newer Bumblebee cars. If you have a link to some of the other pictures of these cars, I'd really love to see them! Thanks in advance!

At Hollywood Star Cars Museum in Gatlinburg, TN where Bumblebee is, you can have your picture made sitting in any of the cars they have on display. So I HAD TO! What an awesome feeling to sit in something like that! :D

Here's me in a few different shots sitting in the car that I finally got around to scanning...

i have a 75 that i am building as the "clean" bumble bee, its a type lt, putting a .0040 over 327 with comp cam, weiand intake, holley 600 carb, steel crank, and 700r4 trans, posi rear end, b&m ratchet shifter, will have the cowl molded into the hood, 5 point seats, roll cage ect. and to top it all off i had a giant autobots sticker made in yellow that says "custom faded" underneath. one downfall is parts are extreemely rare here in colorado, any suggestions?

Hello and thanks for the great pix! Does anyone know the correct tire sizes? Hard to see in the pix but it looks like 225/60 15 on the front and 295/50 15 on the rear... But I have really old eyes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jack
