I was thinking about paddle for my GTI, if I get one, especially since DSG is one of the more advanced transmission systems out there and really does shift quicker than a manual. I decided against it since pure performance isn't something I seek on a DD of mine, and stick seems more fun anyway.
Same would go for my 09 Camaro, not just because it would be my DD, but also because it's a muscle car - it deserves a proper stick shift.
If I were to get a Ferrari or an Aston Martin, though, I'd probably opt for paddle-shifters.
