I remember hearing a lot about the 3-series' manual tranny being quite unreliable (read "dead at 90k"), but I haven't heard anything about the automatic.

In any case, GM should make a bit more noise about this, especially the Bentley and Rolls-Royce bit.

I can already see the tagline (hopefully better than mine): "If you could buy any transmission in the world, would you pick ours? Bentley and Rolls-Royce did."

I checked on Wikipedia some time ago to see what trans my s-10 had. Then I found out that BMW, bentley, rolls and several other places use(or have used) GM transmissions.

hmmm makes you wonder now..how they say the CTS tranny is not as good..well we will see now..
