:rolleyes:only god knows
(you know, some members have these smileys carrying a sing: your dealer is an idiot...)
well
my dealer still does not know anything (the last call i gave him was yesterday), in fact he is learning from me all the time
no order codes, no nothing
on the french and italian websites of gm you can find (only after intensive search) some fact-sheets (the french one even has weights and towing capacity of the vert!!!) but still no colours
so
i have the money piled up here (not at home, in the bank) but i do not get my car, because you cannot order it...
i guess this is due to the fact that in sept 2011 there will be the international autoshow IAA in frankfurt, and they are gonna present it there and after that there will be the official start
the next prob is
the desired car is an L99 vert, rjt (dead, so crystal red claret (supposed not to come for 2012) so ibm (fbodfather himself said it will return)) with tan top and tan int and 20 inch polished wheels
so: will they offer the tan top for the euro spec car, as well as the tan int (i have seen first pics of a tan int of a 2012 my (dashboard changed!) and i love the looks)
so i guess it will be spring 2012 before it is here;)
in the meantime i will keep in contact with the :5go:-community and continue to learn about the car to be able to teach my dealer:lol:
One problem I see with the auto show is once everyone sees the Camaro and then wants one, I beleive there will be a few takers, it will be harder for someone "just a regular citizen" to go and order one. And then the Camaro might be considered a "premium" car and make it harder for you to get one.

I wish you the best and keep us posted....

:thumbsup:thanks for wishing
well i can still remember how the showed the last series of the 4th gen Camaro in Frankfurt
we loved it, but the nearest dealer by that time was in Hamburg, about 75 miles away...
and by that time the Camaro was a really slow seller
nowadays it will be even worse, with gas-prices exceeding 8$/U.S. Gallon here.
people prefer to buy Audi A5 with diesel engines, of the BMW 3 series coupe is often equipped with diesel engines. same with Mercedes E class coupe and convertible, mostly equipped with diesel engines. all of them have only half the fuel consumption of a camaro (or get the double mpg), and diesel fuel is a lot cheaper than gasoline.
and a lot of people think (because it had been this way for decades) that U.S.-american cars have terrible underpinnings, fading brakes and cannot be driven full throttle without dying within 50 miles). i have seen all the vids of highspeedtesting on the nurburgring (the most demanding racetrack of the world according to many race car drivers) gm did with the 5th gen camaro
so there will not be the above mentioned probs at all (i know that, but the majority of people will stick to their prejudices...)
but please keep your fingers crossed they will offer my dream car
L99 vert, ibm, tan+tan,20inch polished

That one expensive Camaro....But from having lived over there the cost of everything is much higher than the US. Just to fill up the gas tank your talking 144.00 U.S. each time.
:rolleyes:yeah, things are pretty expensive
this RV is 96000 US Dollars

the euro spec chrysler 300c hemi 84000
and even this thing 47000

opel insignia (sold in the usa as buick regal)
so in comparison the L99 vert is a bargain:thumbsup:
except for its thrust for gas:eek:

Blue is available over here now...
hi
thanks for the info
i saw a "weird" ibm on the chevy camaro website
but some 2012 ibm seem to be delivered in the US (i have seen a few pics on some forums, and IBM still looks great)
the first "batch" (shipload) for europe seems to be only 45th anni ed (only LS3)
there is one 45th anni ed convertible on the market yet (but for europe the make it in white with black stripes, black int, black top (see the vid above: a legend reborn))
next friday (NOV 11th) i am gonna take the 45th LS3 (see post above) for a test and then try to order my L99 vert ibm, tan, tan 20 ich polished
problems so far
NO satnav in no way available
NO wintertire solution
problematic leasing conditions (i am not talking about the monthly payments, but several details)
i am gonna post as soon as i am back...;)

2012 LS3 45th anni ed coupe euro spec

what a day

11.11.11

been at my dealer today for a ride in a brand new

2012 LS3 45th anni ed coupe euro spec

car looks fantastic

ten times better than on these pics...

was a bright and clear november day, mfic...

you can see, the altered tail lights, the yellow rear side markers (btw: no lightbulbs in the sidemarker front and rear)

those little deflectors in the rear wheel arches, those hugh rearviewmirrors, the reflectors in the diffusor above the exhaust

and those indicator lights in the rearviewmirrors as well as the mounting for the front licence plate

btw

topic perma grin

the car is said to cause perma grin (more on that later)
for now all i wanna say: only the appearence of the car when you approach it makes you smile (even on a mfic day like today)
