Does anyone know how they set up the venues or is it just park where you can when you get there.

parking is reserved for the participants with lots of signs to direct you to parking and to registration. Some venues are difficult to get into due to limited street entrances, bridges etc. Lots of things to do, dyno runs, drag racing, trade show booths, gymkana. There is stage with entertainment. Lots of t-shirts free and for sale, same way with hats. Lots of decals from vendors. Car show at every venue. Big prizes at end for those who drive entire route, such as GM engines, fuel systems, brakes etc.

Do it all or just a couple. Drive every morning to next venue down 2 lane roads, scenic hwy. A couple of free lunches on the way from local towns or sponsor venders. Many little small towns have everyone out in their front yards taking pics. Sometimes local police will set up a water box for burnouts at the only traffic light in town.

Lots of cool cars

Guapo- What's up man?!? I plan on doing a few stops. I'd like to do the Memphis, Birmingham, and maybe one more.... Not sure though. I'll have my son and my daughter with me, so this should be fun!! Bahahaha

In all honesty, get ready for a straight up Cluster F*ck!! Bubba was very nice and eloquent with his description and spot on for the venues. However, be prepared for chaos when you get the venues. I have been doing the Power Tour since 2009 and each year it gets worse and worse. Why? Because it gets bigger and bigger. Last year was the worst I have ever seen it!! Because of that, Family Events is no longer affiliated with the Hot Rod Power Tour. For the first time, since way back when it started, Hot Rod will be more in charge of everything. Will that make things better? I have no idea, but I highly doubt it. Getting into the venues is a nightmare and can literally take hours. Locals will always show up first and grab the closest spots. Those of us that Long Haul always come in last. Which means, we park wherever we can find spots. There is No Reserved parking for the Long Haulers, so it's honestly "First Come, First Serve" basis.

I won't lie- I get into the venue, get my credentials stamped, hit up all the free stuff, say hi to the people I know, and then I high tail it to the hotel. That's where you'll find the most amazing car shows and nicest people. Unless we're at a Drag Strip or Race Track, I don't stick around. There's just too many people and again, it's a cluster just to get in and out. Be prepared for the worse traffic jam for of Thousands of Muscle Cars, Hot Rods, Vintage Cars, and New Cars. Any and Everything you could imagine, you'll see. But the hotel is where you'll find the car shows, everyone relaxing outside, and occasionally a smoke show or two........ ;)

like Bucky says,, it may be chaos. The venues have changed and appear to be able to handle the larger crowds. You can do every thing or very little. The trade show is the same so one time will do most people. If you run the whole thing you need to punch in at each stop along the way. The ride between towns is fantastic. The tour stretches out over several hours and you can take your time when you leave or arrive.

Make sure and get hotel reservations.

If you are prone to road rage, please stay home. If not come, have fun and mark it off your list of things you would like to do

Will be running the first weekend at least...with the latest 2015 Version of the RX Top Mount TVS V6 blower system and RX SuperChiller.

Always have a few of my builds make into magazines each year.

Here were a couple that did full ride in the past few years:
Sgt. Brad Crose's 1981 Chevrolet Corvette - Vette Magazine

The red 64 Vert last in line is a LS resto mod we did several years back that has done I think the last 4-5 full rides in it.

Looking forward to it!!

Had a good time and we went to two stops. Can anyone tell me how to get a 2015 power tour sticker. I have emailed Hot Rod Magazine twice and no response. I did not get and welcome kit I was promised. For my 100 dollars next time I will just show up and see everything for free, since I dropped another 150.00 for shirts and stuff. A little disappointed that I have not received any response from the Magazine.

Sounds like you missed the signs to the participant sign up tables, they run participants in a different gate and then have you sign in. Participants get a goodies bag with front plate, decals and lots of printed material. They also give you credentials and a car sticker that gets you in. Your credentials when shown at the vendor tents gets you hats, decals and of course the Power Tour windshield banner. Will pm you with some good news.

For the most part, Bubba is correct; however this year, it was a tad bit different.

For example, the only people that received license plates were the people only did one stop. Rumors had it that they ran out of license plate by Memphis. I know when I got there, they didn't have any.... The goodie bags this year sucked as well.

Guapo- Here's my recommendation and I tell this to everyone. If you plan to do at least 2 stops, then Register as a Long Hauler prior to the Tour starting!! Just because you sign up as a Long Hauler doesn't mean you have to pick your credentials up at the first day. Don't ever pay for one stop or two stops.... It's just not worth it. I'll be shocked if you actually get a response from Hot Rod. In all honesty, they really don't care about the majority of the participants and Painless Wiring is the Sponsor that does our Windshield Banners. Hot Rod has nothing to do with that. In fact, this is the first year in over a Decade that Hot Rod did this on their own. Prior to this year, it was Family Events that ran the entire shin dig. Hot Rod just owned the name..... :5go:
