I'v heard from a few ppl so far that the first year,(2009) there will be only two camaros per dealership and they are already spoken for, and they aren't going to be any v6's just top of the line V8's. Then in 2010 we will be able to buy one. Is there any truth to this bc, if it is true there are going to be alot of pissed of Camaro freaks me being one of them.

Production begins ~October 2008 and ramps up from there until they release them sometime jan-apr 2009. There should be plenty availible and more availible everyday afterward as production reaches higher levels.

What you said sounds like what they are saying about the Challenger, which WILL BE in limited production for the first year, and only the V8 will be produced. Sounds like someone mixed up their muscle cars.

Well, they haven't announced anything officially, but they have said quite a few times that they are going to produce V6s, and they will not have a limited amount the first year. Well, everything is limited, but they will be producing as many as the factory will put out. This is going to be a Mustang fighter, they want as many out there as possible.

That was the Challenger as stated above. Also I expect a massive aftermarket rush from SLP, GM, etc., to put out parts as soon as the cars start rolling off the line. There is a BIG market for this car and the parts to make it faster from day one and there will be plenty of parts to compliment it.

haha, im so pshyced(spl?) I cant wait to drive it off the lot :roxor::roxor:. Ill be smiling for like a month straight, not an exagerration.
You're lucky, I don't get to drive my car at all for the first month or two at least! It'll have to be delivered to a dock, then put in a container (or possibly ro-ro shipping) then on a ship, then over the ocean for a while, then when I pick it up I get to drive it home (legally) I then have to have the lights converted to euro spec :( then SVA and tax it, and only then can I drive it :(
But hot **** I can't wait!

As part of the brand-building, a completely new Chevrolet Camaro - but bearing strong resemblance to one of North America's most revered affordable sporting cars of the 1960s and 1970s - is also to be sold throughout Europe from 2009, including right-hand-drive versions for the UK.

we have not finalized an allocation plan as of yet --

There are about 4,300 Chevy dealers nationwide -- you can be ASSURED we're gonna build a LOT more than 8,600 Camaros!!!!

V8 and V6 will be available.
