im planning on running a second battery in my plow truck for this winter. ive got the battery. ive got the cable. do i need an isolator? or anything else? if i need an isolator, what size?

thats an interesting setup...and looks a bit complicated.

Bill is an engineer and EVERYTHING he does is done right and by right I mean engineered correctly with a balance of knowledge and common sense.

Do what you want, but that is the best way to do it in that application; full protection and usability.

If that does not work for you, then get a "kit" off of summitracing.

i dont know that summit racing sells "kits". im not doubting his design and process. i just said it looks complicated

hmm. i did a search there earlier and didnt find anything. but ok. i see that now. ive looked around at the isolators..i can get one for about 40-50 bucks for a 200 amp one. a buddy has enough wire to run the entire thing. so more than a kit, i guess im looking for the process of how to do it. ill show him the link you sent me and see if he can do anything like that.
