Saturn Green Line Vue

By Jill LajdziakSaturn General ManagerAs one of the industry’s fastest growing brands in 2007, Saturn clearly is plugged into the demands of our customers. With the slate of vehicles that Saturn debuted today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, I am convinced we will remain “plugged in” for years to come.
Great design and environmentally friendly technology have become hallmarks of the Saturn brand. When you look at the vehicles we introduced this week, you can see we are sticking with that winning formula.
The 2009 Vue Green Line 2 Mode Hybrid will provide at least a 50 percent increase in combined city and highway fuel economy while maintaining impressive performance and utility. We are going to keep working on improving the fuel economy numbers between now and the start of production, and we expect the city mileage to be really impressive.

The miles on the battery alone is still a little low, but it's a start.

GM needs to get a the battery distance up to the 50+ mile mark so most daily commute people won't ever need the flex engine to kick in. I hope GM puts this technology in a few more models across the board in a hurry. I really enjoy it when GM beats the import guys in the MPG game.

GM doesn't get the credit they deserve but it's nice to point it out to the occasional treehugger drone you catch mouthing off every now and then.

I agree that GM doesn't get the credit for all the r and d they have been doing in this segment. I really like these new Saturn cars, but I hope It doesn't take away from the Volt any. With all their new commercials and all. Maybe the Volt commercials will help sell the Saturn cars?

USA1Camaro, I've done that a few times...to the people that are all "GM DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT OR THEY WOULD HAVE VEHICLES LIKE THE PRIUS".

Then I point out all the hybrids..and they quickly shut up.
