Spartan Motors posts record earnings for 1st quarter

Spartan Motors Inc. said its first-quarter 2007 earnings increased to a record $7.2 million, or 33 cents a share, compared to profits of $4.5 million, or 23 cents a share, in the same period a year earlier.
