Spartan Motors' profit up 30%

Spartan Motors Inc. said net income for the second quarter -- its best ever performance -- increased by more than 30% to $6.5 million, or 20 cents a share, compared with $4.9 million, or 17 cents a share, in the same period a year earlier.
