My dealer installed stripes are..kind of like smudged ..or it looks like something was rubbed on them..although the dealer informed me that "paint gaurd" did not touch them,,,and the installer, ( I was there) said it was not a soap prob. I could post a pic...but not sure how....I SEARCHED on this subject....could not find anything...but I beleive this subject has been discussed and some others have seen it and have found a remedy...???
Any help appreciated
Thanks

A claybar or a cleaner wax like Zymol should remove any contaminates.
I wouldn't recommend using clay bar on vinyl stripes. However, I am using
Meguiar's Instant Detailer and a clean microfiber towel to touch up entire car between washings. It seems to work well with making the matte black stripes look like new.
It actually keeps smudges and water spots from being a problem.
I have been doing this for over a month now.
Hope this helps.
