what are the gt500's really going for? aren't they marked up the ying yang? like if i recal i saw a gt500 for 70k or so. plsu the 28k for a grand 600 HP warrantied and prolly 35k for the 725 hp package.... i rather just buy a z06 for 70k and strap a nice lil blower on it.

besides on this vette forum a guy has a new c6 z06 and a modded shelby gt stang with 580 hp to the wheels and the vette spanks it everytime from a dig, slow roll or fast roll. this is just ford's attempt to spread their market place.

but i do admit, a 600 horsepower car that's under warranty is kinda nifty.

Far and away a nicer car.

I mean, don't get me wrong, the Super Snake is bad ass, but $28,000 for an extra 100hp is REALLY overpriced.

$8000 should more than enough to pay for an 100hp increase. The extra $20K they would have to itemize by the penny.
