Tampa Tuning is writting in depth strategies for the LFX V6 engine line. For those that know me, I deep dive into the ECM for an effective calibration. From the couple Ive seen from other shops, not much has been done to the tune, so im going to kick the door in and let it breath. Please let me know if your interested and we'll have a little fun.

Tampa Tuning will adjust the throttle sensitivity on the LFX like I can on the new LT1 corvette motors, but cant do on the V8 Camaro line.

Tampa Tuning will scale your throttle pedal to be more responsive, change your main spark tables, adjust your Air Fuel both cruising ( LTFT) and WOT, reconfigure your torque management, and unleash the Camaro to the full potential.

Tampa Tuning will scale the throttle blade to open 100% during WOT.

Tampa Tuning is know in the industry for our transmission calibrations. Everyone loves our tranny tune. The more throttle you apply, the more interactive the transmission becomes.

Thanks
Phil

Hey Phil do you recommend doing a tune after some bolt ons or could one do a tune right off the car lot? Thanks!

How did the car turn out?

Difference in the seat of the pants?
I'm sorry but i have to be honest and say that i was disappointed i was expecting better gains. It went from starting at 245 to the wheel to only 256 to the wheel and torque was about a gain of 14..

The throttle response was excellent though....

Im sorry to hear that, but I think your only looking at the peak numbers at 6600 RPMs.

Your graph shows most of your powerband gains between 3900 RPMs to 5900 RPMS with a 20 RWTQ and 18 RWHP max gain at 4500 RPMs from just tuning.

We can only make as much power as the car lets us before it starts knocking.

There's limited modifications available for the V6 line. We've gotten just over 300RWHP with the Mace cams set up, but their really not that large of cams. If you don't have the change the valve springs on a cam, I always get concerned about the cam size.

Changing out the cats to high flow cats maybe good for a couple RWHP, but im talking a couple. Then you'll have to have the rear O2s shut off.

50-75 shot of NO2 always helps
