the more i think about it...

the more i think i may do a lease when the new Camaro comes out and then buy one a few years later.

initially, i was thinking of waiting until the second year to buy because of rumors of the top dawg Camaro coming out then... and also so my GTO would be paid off... but now i'm starting to think that i won't be able to wait that long.

i know how i am and i know when the new Camaro hits showrooms i'm going to die if i don't get one. so i started to think that maybe i should lease one for 2-3 years when they first come out... let any bugs get worked out and let the top dawg one come out... and then buy one in 2011 or so.

i think this may work. i can get my immediate Camaro fix, have fun with one for a little while (prolly would get a base V8), then get serious and buy the baddest mofo they make. :roxor:

aaahhh, hurry up 2009!!!! i'm dying over here!

What if a top dog comes out first year?:D

well if anyone needs a liver, ill sell it to them on the black market :D
If top dog is a regular production model (Z28/SS), then I hope it comes out the first year. It should or at least in the late summer for the 2010.
As difficult as it may be, I plan on waiting. (Sure! That's what I say now!)

But seriously, after ordering my SS, I remember seeing the 'Intimidator SS' ad and wishing I had waited to get an SS. Had I waited, I would have an 'Intimidator SS' sitting in my garage right now. :BangHead: But I do love my SS. ;)

I want to wait and see what models Chevrolet offers, as well as what, if any, special dealer models come out. It won't be easy, especially when I start to see them on the street and in dealer showrooms.

I'm just glad the Camaro is BACK! :roxor: After waiting for it's return for 7 looong years, I think I'll be able to wait a little longer.
I'm really considering leasing the 2009 model as well.
When the lease is up, can always buy it if I wish to keep it. :)
so if you guys lease, how much are you planning on putting down? I don't know....I don't think I can lease....we treat our cars like people, better than people.....
we even name them and cover them EVERYDAY when they're outside.... I know, its a sick thing...:D
its just too hard to let go after just a couple years...

believe me, that's what i was saying too... but then i was like "oh, what the hell" i can have my cake and eat it too. lease one, then keep it or buy a new one :D i have determined that my willpower will not be strong enough to keep from buying one the first year. the Camaro force is too strong!! ;)

lol, I can't lease for almost the same reasons.

One thing that's going to hurt me is seeing all the camaros driving around so cal the first year. :BangHead:

Originally I was gonna wait a year, but nope. Can't do it!
Seeing them around will be too much pressure!

Uhm......don't YOU need your liver? I have a spare kidney available though. Should be in pretty good shape, never exposed to the weather......:rotflmao:

Back on topic.

Yeah, Lease Buy Lease Buy Lease Buy.........I think BUY.......If we get at least a 400HP+ V8 variant, I'll be happy and it will reside next to it's 1968 brother in the garage as long as I'm around. They do become family members.....all of my car buddies are the same way.....they (cars) have to go to the mechanic, we're there at all established visiting hours, giving them fresh quarts of oil........ I know, I know.

This will be the first car I've ordered to my specs, so, I'm planning on keeping it and pulling it out in 30 years with all the history and documentation that I can acquire.

In the end, do whatever makes you happy......get one now, enjoy it and get a new one later.........not a wrong answer here I believe.......either way, you're in a new Camaro.
I don't think I could lease. If I have a Camaro ITS GETTING MODDED:D. Seriously there is no way I could resist modding it when its sitting in my garage.

I know that I couldnt do it. The only way that ill wait is if they dont release the SS the first year. I know I could wait for that. Or if there is a ZL 1 commin the second year or somethin. I gotta have one man I think about this freakin car every day.
Would love to have the car as well and leasing does sound like an idea, but there is NO way possible I could lease the car w/out doing something to it. When I get the car I want it to be MY car. Yeah, I would get jealous seeing the Camaros driving around (most would probably be base V6 models) but I know that I will own one. The count down for Camaro ownership for me will start on January 1st, 2008 and will end sometime in February or March of 2011.:roxor:
