Saw it last night!

Great movie! Being both a car nut and a Transformers fan helped with that. It was a long movie but I had no problem as I do with some long movies of sitting there without getting a sore but.:lol: Kept me interested and excited the whole time through. The pacing was good. A little drawn out for some things.:blahblah: Could have been cut or just not needed. But other than that good breaks between the action. I think the humor was a little forced at times but flowed in the areas it needed to. The picking up the girl and the at home scenes with the Autobots hiding.
The cast was A1 for the parts. Shia was great. Megan was good.The government rolls were played as good as they are on action movies, especially Bush :thumbsup: . and of course the Autobots themselves were great! The decepticons were menacing. The lines used were classic! All in all a great movie.:bowdown:
The cars: They all were played out perfect for the parts. The personalities were great. The way they got their personalities to talk to us (
WWW.) that's funny! Loved the way they talked. Jazz was JAZZ..to a "T"..Him being a Solstice just sealed the deal..was very faithful to the original. And the way he looked in car mode was sweet. looked real good.
I was partial to the old Ironhide being a tough ornery cowboy type but this one was good also, great tough guy. His truck mode was really one of the crowds favorite. This big black truck..bad ass..really works for IRONHIDE.
Ratchet was as I thought..almost a regal/doctor type to him. Fit him good. Him being a Hummer also fit as being a field medic more than a 80's van..much more realistic for using a hummer than the original style..
NOW.. Bumblebee, what can I say the guy had the look..he was bumblebee. The part of him being the Camaro fit. He was great as a 2nd gen Camaro and the fact he had no voice was not a distraction. Was cool.The radio speech was also good..it worked. Now the time he changed into the new Camaro. That was sweet. great introduction to the 5th gen on the big screen! A lot of people in the audience gave the "ohhhh ahhhh" hushed whisper you could here. Was sweet.:notworthy:
Seeing him do his thing in car mode was amazing..the chases and the cop car chase was also amazing..the burnout was also cool transforming and the tiresmoke was great..
And Prime. This was Optimus Prime. No description needed. He was Prime and his truck mode fit..the voice is the classic voice and it was great to hear him in the movie.
Decepticons were great too..go down the line..Megatron was bad ass..that was Megatron..and yes he had a cannon..not the traditional one but seeing it you know what I mean..Starscream also was to a T very faithful to the original in style..Barricade was a nice fit to the Robots in Disguise idea..a cop car a Saleen cop car..a Decepticon cop car..totally cool..Frenzy was fun to watch and good comedy..alsmost Star Wars like in approach. The rest of the decepticons..Devastator and Brawl were good..not much more that big tough guys to deal with, Skorpinok was a treat to see. Blackout was bad ass!!
The robot modes worked..they looked good..I love the classic looks but you can look past it..they all fit.. Even Megatron.

Now the bad..like mentioned above..the movie was long..and could of been cut like 20 min to make it a killer movie..Not saying it was bad just the time killed many expectations..
I went with my Wife, Brother his girlfriend and her two brothers. Her oldest brother loved it, I was I feel second to that as It was great and liked it, my Wife and her other brother were in the it was good column and my brother and his gf could care less and walked out less than what they thought and did not like it. Almost like many of the critics writings..So if your not a bay fan you might not like it?? IDK..many in the theater were very excited and happy walking out..it was a 9:50 showing so it was late. so it was all adults..great time.

I give it a 8 1/2 out of 10 stars just for the fun factor..go in expecting a summer movie and you will not be disappointed. Actually you will be blown away
