All the fords on that list were being trade in For GM vehicles if not the Chevy Camaro itself

The 6cyl. Camaro qualifies but the V8's don't.:(
Thats actually a good thing. At least people will begin to see the Camaro as a FUEL EFFICIENT sports car instead of a gas hungry muscle car.

29mpg from a platform that is only 4secs slower round the Nurburgring than a 17mpg Aston Martin DBS aint nothing to shake your head at:thumbsup:

they should have only applied the program towards purchasing a new american car if they really wanted to help the auto industry

It wasn't to help the auto industry, it was to help local dealers move cars from their inventory, stimulating the local economies and to 'help' get less fuel efficient cars off the road and more fuel efficient cars on the road. There are plenty of local businesses it was to impact, domestic and otherwise :)

I'm no fan of the program, just clearing up what the intent was.
