Whoopee. I used to be a huge Nascar fan. As soon as Dale died, all the idiots decided to take over the sport. (Mike Helton, Brian money-grabber France). The last straw was allowing a Japanese manufacturer in. Sorry, Nascar, you might want to widen your fan base with that move, but you just lost thousands of us old school guys. Helton and France are nothing but a bunch of greedy sell-outs, and could care less about the past history of the sport or all of the fans that made it what it was. Of course, Nascar didn't ask my opinion about foreign cars racing in the sport, but thats because they don't give a rat's ass. They care about $$$$$$.Toyota will buy itself into the fabric of America in anyway they see fit. Anyone that supports Toyota is a sell-out to the interests of the USA. Toyota and their sell-out supporters can all rot in hell as far as I'm concerned. Good, luck, Nascar, I hope people wake up and shun your money-grubbing circus. I know I have.

I used to set aside time to watch as many races as possible. The last few years I couldn't care less. I would rather see real cars on the track, not cookie cutter shells with stickers on them.

Its just not that fun to watch anymore.
i still watch and enjoy it .i dont care for the new points system but im happy dale jr is with a good team now go dale 88.not happy about the toyota thing thats why i dropped tony stewart as my fav driver,i just cant root for toyota even though they are built in the usa.chevy=canada,ford=mexico

I don't freakin care if Toyota is building cars in the USA or on the FREAKIN MOON.....its still a FOREIGN CAR COMPANY. The original rules set up in 1949 specifically stated that no foreign cars were to compete in Nascar. End of story. GO HOME TOYOTA, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SPORTS VENUES. Next thing ya know, Toyota will be sponsoring the World Series or Superbowl Trophy itself: "And now, accepting the Lombardi...errrrr...TOYOTA TROPHY, Tom Brady!" Toyota, just as American as Mom's apple pie! What a Freakin pathetic JOKE.:barf:

I agree, NASCAR was better years ago - so was the IRL...Then the IRL decided to do road courses, just like CART did....then venture out of the USA. So CART and IRL are now equal.
I met enough race car drivers, nascar & CART of the 80's. Only a few I don't care for. Unser's invited me elk hunting the first day I met them - never took them up on it, but how cool of an offer was that????!!!!
I was going to the August Michigan race up until this year - now I have been going to the April Talladega race. Still like the crowd activities....so until something better comes along, guess I'll remain a race junkie

If GM builds cars in China to sell in China they are still american cars.
If Toyota builds cars in the USA to sell in the USA they are still Japanese cars.
I think they should make them use current real engines in cars that match the drive position of the real car at least. That would make it more interesting. That and do away with the new body matching.
All NASCAR cares about anymore is money.
Every year it is increasingly clear that they don't care about the fans.
The BEST thing NASCAR could do right now is to tell Toyota to F off.
That would bring alot of fans back.

This in my opinion would be the answer for nascar to bring back the fans. The real fans.

I would love to see the G8 racing using an LS based engine with real body styling not just stickers to identify it. Also if Chevy brings the Impala in RWD form and ford brings a RWD 4 door like they announced and did the same thing. That would be fun to watch IMO.

I was really kind of fond of the Iroc Series.....I remember Dale Earnhardt getting run off the Daytona track by an open wheel driver during his last IROC race....a day or two before he died.
