Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. took over Ford Motor Co. in U.S. sales in 2007, bumping the Detroit automaker to the No.3 spot. Toyota last year sold 61,962 more cars and light trucks than Ford, according to the Automotive News Data Center.

GM over the last 5 or so years has been putting out some really good cars. Ones that make people seriously consider GM products over JAPanese. The Alpha platform will be a big help. The Volt and hopefully small cleaner diesels will keep GM ahead. Those are a couple more years away.

Almost all of GM's divisions have at least one Star in the lineup currently. Advertising has been better IMO. I would like to see GM stay #1 in sales, but it's more important that GM remains profitable and in business. Competition is good for the consumer and I expect to see some very good products because of it.

toyota is American as Apple pie...or so they lead you to beleive. and in some way to the average american they are...they grew up in the back of a toyota.
The Tundra commercials really take the cake.
wish GM or Ford would take them to task about the downfalls of the Tundra.
Like I have said before and will again buying an import made here does more damage to our economy that will be impossible to reverse unless we get some homeland pride..I would rather buy a Canadian Camaro than a Texas built Tundra..
