Amid all the recent talk in Washington about raising fuel economy standards, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. was quietly trying to work off a backlog of unsold Prius hybrids by offering the first incentives on the fuel-saving hatchback.

With good looking cars like the Corvette, GTO, and hopefully the Camaro able to get close to 30 mpg on the highway, it's hard to imagine anybody paying money to drive a Prius.

I had a diesel Ford Escort in the 90s that got close to 50 mpg. I would of kept it if I knew the price of fuel was going to increase like it has.

the sad thing is people are buying that POS looking turd at an alarming rate.

The more people that buy into this hybrid stuff the better ... leaves more gas available for those of us who love to drive fun rides.
