The proposal is to change the current design, which looks like this:

The idea is that people will be discouraged from buying cars with low or flunking "grades" (like Camaros, for example) and buy hybrids and electrics instead.

its really sad that some people are going to base a decision on fuel economy alone.

Problem with this is it will cost us taxpayers to do this, and people buying economy concious already know what to look for.

It's a waste of money....but what's new.
