The traditional handshake ceremonies that open talks between the United Auto Workers and the car companies are complete with this afternoon's meeting between Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally and UAW President Ron Gettelfinger.
Yeah, USA, I've got to agree with you. As much as I hate to say it, but UAW is gonna have to give something back if they ever want to hope to keep jobs here. But the thing is though the give backs should be from the suits at the top, not the line workers.
Excuse me while I go off on a slight rant here. Why is it when ever there are cuts to be made it has to be made from the bottom, the workers?? You don't trim a tree that way do you? You cut a tree at its base you risk killing the tree, you trim the top, it lives, simple. You get rid of a few suits and you'd save (guessing here) close to a hundred +/- peoples jobs that actually work, that actually serve a purpose by putting the products out there, people that buy cars, homes, food, ect.
Okey rant over.
