DTC reader, scanner, all the same thing. The one I got in the picture was like $180. It datalogs in real time, records data, scans codes, erases them, and can do many different vehicles from foreign to domestic. And it has the specific code based on the year, make, and model. Some of the cheaper ones will give you a generic code or a general code. They are like $40. I would say get one like mine or a comparable one. Once you start modding you're gonna get codes. And its gonna be a hassle having to go to a parts store every time a code pops up.

I think I'm going to return it to stock all the way first and see how it goes. If nothing is wrong, I'll start adding back on. My rational is if it does it in stock configuration, then I can go straight to the dealer again.
Sounds like a solid plan. A code reader/scanner would still be a good idea so you can clear the code(s) immediately without having to go thru startup cycles to get it to clear...

Yep, it is on my list ... will be getting one soon, just been really busy around here and I haven't had the time ... next week looks really open, so I'll probably do it then ... if I don't get things switched out tomorrow, then that is also going to wait until next weekend, unfortunately ... thanks all

took off the ported throttle body and power wedge, left the CAI. Seems ok on three short runs out (each about 20 total miles) ... I'll give it a couple more tries before I dare a 30 mile trip to work ... if that holds up through the winter (limited driving), I'll add the ported TB back in and see how it goes without the power wedge.

One day I received the 'Service Stabilitrak' message on DIC....bought a code reader to find 29 codes displayed....I laughed, stupid car had one problem I was thinking, and I was right - took it to the stealership, and it took them FOUR HOURS to diagnose the accelerator pedal assembly, another half-hour to re & re and test...car's been perfect since....I consider my 2011 Camaro to be a 'stupid' car....just my story about the 'Service Stabilitrak'...
