Yeah hopefully not, they say the LS2's span will end when the Camaro bows but lets hope lutz don't get the uppercut from the bean counters. Not likely of course but until I see it in the showroom floor I wont discount anything including a 500 hp version.

Nothing at all. It just probably will not last until the Camaro rolls out. There will be another designation be then and probably an updated model.

It's not impossible that LS2 will be the base engine, but improbable, that's all! :)

Nothing against the LS2 but like the LS1 in the current engine game the LS3 is in 1's and 2's are yesteryear. 400 hp just isn't enough anymore with 425 SRT-8's and 500 hp shelbys out there. Not that a 400 hp Maro cant beat them but its just the numbers game more is better.

I think the LS2 is a fantastic motor.
But it will be phased out before Camaro production starts, so we'll see something newer. :)

BTW, that new sig pic is SWEET!!!
I didn't think the LS2 was slated to be phased out that quickly. Considering that the LS1 was around from what, '99 to '04 in the GTO's IIRC and that the LS2 just came out in '05 with the C6 Corvette, I figured the LS2 would be around for at least the first, perhaps the second year of the Camaro.

And thanks for the props on the sig. I just finished it off a few hours ago. If I could find a place to host it that would allow PHP, it'd would rotate out with 5 or 6 more variations.

There's a script that you can use to do that too, which doesn't require PHP.
I can PM you the code. :)

I actually have it running on my car club's site.
