We have been told there will be a v6 and a v8.

Some of the comments that told us that could be understood as 2 V8s, but not really sure.

What makes you think there won't be a v8?

I'm sure there will be at least one V8, but at what price. Not only and additional price on the car now, but when you go to "check out", by this i mean a gas guzler tax or such. like they do with the SUV class and other luxary cars with larger engines.

I am not 100% sure, but I don't think the G8 has a gass guzzler tax. Also I don't think the Vette does either.

Also I wouldn't take that higher price car think seriously unless you here it from someone in the know.

I would hybrid article to heart until someone clears it up for us. I think its a lot of speculation. We have heard the same kinda stuff about powertrain since the start and the fact is none of them know. They are just taking a guess.

If you see Bob Lutz or S.S. or any of those quoted then you can believe every word of that.

I read in motor trend that GM said that the dual quad V8 is
no more, but said that the V8 is still very alive. They also
said that the CAMARO would most likely get the V8 out of
the G8 and made the statement that it would most
likely have 400HP, on top of that they said another
V8 making 500HP would also be Avalible.:bowdown:

I have no idea if Canada abides by the US standards. I'm sure the site I postes has the info you need
