A different dealership is the way to go before spending any money on re-tinting. Think of it as a second opinion. I don't see how tinting could have done it since slicing the "grid" on the back window would also have cut off your XM reception as well. Let us know how it goes...

IMO, Don't spend any money on it. Take it to another dealer and get a second oppinion. If they fix it good. If not take it back to the tint shop and tell them the 2 dealers said they damaged your car and get them to do what the dealer told you to do. I would not pay anything to get it removed. They should do that free to prove it was not there fault if they are a good shop. If its the tint shops fault. They owe you for the repair and a refund. If its not due to the tint then the dealer owes you the repair. I know the dealer won't retint the glass thow. Also document everything and get recipts for every job that gets done to resolve the issue.

:agree: I find it hard to believe that the tint installers could have messed this up like that, unless they used a hammer to put the tint on. Def go to another dealer and see what they say, and if somehow they can prove it was the tint, get it in writing from both dealers.

The tint shop, like all other shops, always think about their own benefit first,do you thinks so?

Warranted by the dealer/contractor then, NOT GM. Completely different situation.

If it is not genuine GM Accessories you get from GMSPO that are installed by the dealership, then it's between you and the dealer. GM warranty does not apply. Gotta read the "what's covered/not covered" section.
