Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally -- a longtime admirer of Taurus sedans -- said Tuesday that Ford will do right by the nameplate. Shortly after Mulally arrived in Dearborn in September 2006, Ford changed the name of its family sedan back to the Taurus from the Five Hundred. Ford also implemented several mid-cycle changes aimed at improving sales and market position.

Well Ford is sure dumping alot of R&D into the Taurus.
First as the Five Hundred, then a slew of changes to become the Taurus, and now another re-design already.
