I was wondering when dealerships are going to start taking deposits on their first arrival Camaros. I remember dealerships taking deposits on the '05 Mustangs more than a year before they came out. Will Chevy dealerships do the same thing? Also, it will be nice to have a contract stating that the dealer cannot charge over sticker upon arrival, he he!!!

They probably will not begin deposits until the ful list of options have been released, which I believe happens about 6 months before production begins, if I remember right. Since no one knows the production schedule for sure, it is difficult, if not impossible, to know when it will be.

That would be nice! Unfortunately there will be plenty of dealers who will be looking to turn the extra buck. I have already called around and have the general manager's assurance at a couple of dealers that they will not sell any vehicle for more than MSRP, so my advice is just ask around... good dealers do exist!
