Thanks for the input. I might decide to go with the Camaro LT2 - without the RS package. That would give me either 18 or 19 inch all season tires, which should work. I live in Ontario - not far from Niagara Falls. From my understanding the Camaro has 7 inch ground clearence - which makes it average for most cars. Because of driveway space I can only go with one car at the moment - so the Camaro would have to be a year around car.

That sounds like a good plan. If you really wanted to go with the RS, I'd get a spare set of the 18" or 19" stock rims on ebay and use them for winter tires.

I considered driving in winter for about a second. I'll drive it until there is salt...my Grand Am can eat it =) It would break my heart to have to drive it in winter. I'm fortunate enough to have the option of another car.

The rain thing is hysterical to me. I have a friend with a SS that says the same thing, it won't see rain. Oh nooo the big bad rain!!!!

I live out in the country in Wisconsin and there is no way my Camaro can even make it out of the garage and up my drive in the winter on the 20's. Nope, car cover and rest for her this winter...till the salt if washed off the roads. I will miss her...

PASS!! Mine is going into the garage w/ car cover, too much risk driving it in the snow. Other car will do fine in the snow not risking this one...:)

Drive it how you like to. It's easy to say you'll never drive it in the rain or snow (if you live in areas where it snows). I don't know if your weather guys are better than those in my area - likely not ! - but it's pretty likely that at some point you'll be caught up in a rain / snow storm and will have to drive it. I can't imagine that it'll handle that well in the snow but we'll see this winter...

If you prefer to park it in the cold months that's fine. For me, I'm going to drive mine as often as possible.
