Just wondering what you all think? An LS2 vette is rated at 400hp/400tq and weighs about 3185, vs a hypothetical LS3 camaro which will probably be rated at 425 or 430hp/420 or 424tq but weigh in closer to 3500lbs.

So what do you all think?

Probably the Corvette.
Corvettes usually are more performance geared than a Camaro.

Vette weighs less soo the vette! ls2vette 0-60 4.3.... hopefully the ls3 camaro could do 4.5

The vette...its been chevy's top supercar for how many years im sure that they aren't going to jepordize the sales of the vette by making the camaro faster...sad to say

I don't think it matters since this would be comparing an older Vette to a newer Camaro (apples to oranges). The Vettes are already getting the LS3 starting this fall.

This can make you wonder cuz the 4th gen was very = to a vette in straight line excel and in many cases would be ahead of a vette

I think the LS3 camaro should beat the LS2 vettle by a small amount in a strait line.

I know they are always worried about the Camaro beating the Vette, but to me, the top Camaro should beat the base Vette. It's only the tops OR the bases that should be compared.

You can't say that a Mustang can beat a Vette just because a supercharged Roush could beat a base Corvette (with a trailer attached ).
