New Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally has called himself "a disciple of the Toyota production system." Last week, he flew to Tokyo to meet with Toyota Motor Corp. Chairman Fujio Cho to discuss ways the two companies could work together on advanced engine technologies and other issues.

I'm kinda indifferent to what Ford does.

Now if GM was talking to another manufacturer to doing something to improve quality, reduce costs, or increase performance then that would be of interest to me.

But man they have a long road ahead of them.

....then again, look at GM 18 months ago, they've come a LONG way.
