depending on what you can option it with, i'd get one
A lot will depend on the price for me.
I'll be buying one.
Price is the main concern for me...I might have to wait a year after it comes out before I can get one. Plus you know that dealers are going to mark up the hell out of it.
i would wait a couple years so all the kinks get worked out

Exactly. I hope GM can do something about the inevitable "dealer market adjustment" (i.e. MARKUP) that's gonna happen when this car becomes available. I still remember when the Corvette ZR-1 came out in 1990 - dealers were charging $20-30K over sticker (and people were actually PAYING it  ), which I found interesting because a couple of years later, dealers could barely GIVE those cars away.

That's the biggest thing that I think will keep people away from the Camaro right away, unless you've got ALOT of money stashed away for the markup price - I hate to rain on anyone' parade, but it's GONNA happen, I'm sure of it.
Considering they're planning to sell 150,000 units a year, I doubt the dealers will be able to justify a markup.
It depends on alot of things for me to consider buying one. The concept is great, but the production version will be significantly "watered down". Just look at the Mustang concept car, and the what was actually produced. Very similar yes, but much less exotic looking. I will likely buy if it stays close to the concept. I might get flamed for this, but I hope it has a solid axle for the production version (hopefully something beefier than a 7.5 10 bolt) because I'm more if a drag racer anyway, and it'll help keep the cost down.
:D i just hope they only offer a V-8 that will keep the car special. not like ford did with the stang, they built tons of 6 bangers now you see them everywhere. not so special any more.

I hope you're right... but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

You really think they'll sell 150,000 of these a year? Seems a bit optimistic in my book. Last time they sold over 100,000 units was in 1995... alot has changed since then. I know the Mustang has been selling about 150,000 a year, but it also didn't take a 7 year "hiatus" like the Camaro did. Plus the new Challenger is gonna give the Camaro alot of extra competition along with whatever Ford has in store for the Mustang in 09... it'll be interesting to see how it does, that's for sure. Guess time will tell.
Chose choice #2.

Only if it comes with something wicked like a LS7 or similar.
price..and markups will happen, to be the first on the block to have a new Camaro..they will have markups..sad really
I don't have to be the first one to have it. So I'll be avoiding the mark-ups.

well the V6 is the only way the car can be made....and be cheap..look at GTO..AWSOME car but with just a V8 option..it will not sell to the broad range of people it needs to. Trust me when I say this Camaro needs the V6 more than it needs the V8..
And because of all the V6 stangs sold, thats how you can get the Cobras and the MACH1's from Ford..so alot is riding on the bred and butter 6 banger to get the car where it needs to be so we can have a possible LS7 camaro down the road :D
I agree. They need to offer a V6 option to stay competitive.
There will be a V6 option offered. Base price will be around $19,000.

The goal is to offer a high quality sports car, that will be cheaper with the competitors.... like the Mustang.

I will definitely get one if it comes out.
