Hi guys,

I will most certainly be getting a 5th gen when they become available. The only thing that will prevent me from getting one would be the dealer mark-ups initially, or if they do not introduce the "top dog" Camaro at the start of production. Otherwise I will be at the dealer placing my order as soon as allowable!

With both my current vehicles paid off by then and the wife's blessing already imposed, I will be getting the highest available version be it a rumored Saleen or SS. When will be the only question. If the markups push it into the 65+ range I'll wait till it goes down, anything less than that and I will sign on the dotted lines. I want mine unowned unmolested and brand spanking new:cool:
I am in the same boat. Ever since the coupe was introduced last year and my wife went with me to the Chicago autoshow to see it I have been "planting seeds" ever since, so she is very well aware of how infatuated I am with this car. She finally asked me a few months ago... there really is nothing that is going to keep you from getting this car when it comes out, is there?" I said only if you refuse to allow me to get it... She felt bad by then, and told me that as long as i buy her a new purse, then i can have my car...

I happliy agreed!:)

You got off easy.

My wife wants a Trailblazer. I'll end up getting her a TBSS I hope. I might want to drive it too. :rotflmao:

I think i will waite till the 2nd. year when the Camaro might have more HP. :D
I forgot to mention that. The only thing that would keep me from buying one in the first year is if it debuts with a 6.0L of some kind... if that happens I will wait until it gets the larger engine which would be inevitable.

However, I really can not see GM debuting this car with "only" a 6.0L. I mean, they are bringing back an American icon... they have to bring it back in style!

I am going to hold off, yeah I have changed my mind!

I absolutely have to have a Full Size truck at all times and I have been wanting to build a NOVA/CHEVY II for about 15 years.

I also need to finish my 4x4 project.

I am not going anywhere, but I will definitely wait a few years to get one.

I'll be waiting at least two years after the coupe debuts before I buy. I want to wait for the convertible and I want as much power as I can get. Plus I'm a steadfast believer in the "Never buy a new model the first year it's out" rule. I know that the production quality across all car lines has gotten better over the years, but I still want to wait for them to get the bugs worked out. factor all of that in and it will probably be 2011 when I place my order.

Not me! 7 years will be a long enough wait. I think that if I waited another 2 and was seeing them driving on the road I would probably go nuts! I have faith in GM's ability to put out a quality product right at the beginning and with their 5yr/100,000 mile warranty, anything that does go wrong will get fixed.

As long as there is a ~420HP version within the first few months and I do not get price gouged by the dealers then i will have one soon after production begins.
