I'm going to bet that the windshield damage occured from the outside. I could be wrong...but the center of the bullseye seems too low (1/2 blocked by dashboard) to be from head impact from inside.

Could be wrong though....but either way it's a shame. At the same time, if you're a car rental company getting these in, I would HOPE you were smart enough to expect a % of them being returned this way!

There are a lot of people who will want to rent these just to take them out and abuse them for a few days.

I could have been the airbag deploying. That's almost exactly the way my windshield looked in my 4thgen when the passenger side airbag panel whacked the windshield.

And another thing, I think it would be completely irresponsible on the part of Avis to rent a Camaro SS (or any 400+ HP car) to anyone unless they are at least 25 years old and own their own vehicle.

I agree with you....but unfortunately we live in a country and during a time when making $$$ is more important than being responsible to many folks.
